Educated and experienced

I'm Kirsi Kujala, a music educator, a musician and an instrument builder. I have a degree in Music Education from the University of London, Institute of Education, and extensive experience teaching guitar to students of all levels. My lessons are available both in person and online.

I currently teach at my home studio in Kissanmaa, Tampere.

I make most of the instruments I use in my profession myself.

About my pedagogical approach:

I firmly believe playing music makes you a smarter, happier and a more empathetic human being. 

During my lessons, I focus on the student's individual strengths and help them overcome the challenges they face when playing. Identifying and overcoming psychological barriers in playing is my expertice.

I help and encourage my students to engage with and connect to their inner centre, where all creativity is born.

There are no age limits at Kitarakoulu Fokus, but when it comes to children under the age of 10, they must have intrinsic motivation to try out the guitar.

Currently my students' ages vary between the age of 10 and late 80s.
